About Me

Hi, I'm Maryann!

Piano has been a huge part of my life for over 25 years. I started taking piano lessons when I was 6 years old and continued all the way through college. I earned my bachelor's degree in Piano Performance from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and I have been teaching private piano lessons since 2014. While attending MSU Denver, I earned multiple talent award scholarships, and was chosen as a winner of the 2012 Concerto Competition.

Growing up in a musical family, I've always loved playing music with others, whether it's piano duets with my mom, chamber music with my cellist brother, or accompanying my singing dad. I have enjoyed working as the collaborative pianist with various choirs, churches, and schools around Denver, including the Anschutz Campus Choir, Cameron United Methodist Church, and the Rhythm of Life Community Chorus. I am the staff pianist at Cameron Church, and you can come hear me play every Sunday!

I love working with children and have the patience and knowledge to make lessons fun and productive. My hope is that every lesson will be an enjoyable experience, cultivating enthusiasm for piano, while also providing students with the skills they need to succeed on their musical journeys.

When I'm not playing piano, I enjoy biking around Denver, hiking, playing board games, and spending time with my partner Jake and our orange cat Vin.
